Campsites
We often get asked where is the best place to camp on Portland for climbers? The short answer is there are no campsites on the island itself (with the exception of the small camping area at the Youth Hostel). The good news is there are plenty of campsites in the wider Weymouth and Purbeck area, and below are a selection that our climbers have visited in the past.
Sea Barn Campsite
Sea Barn Farm is in a uniquely beautiful location, with panoramic views of the Fleet Lagoon, Lyme Bay, Chesil Bank and Isle of Portland.

Tom's Field Campsite
Tom's Field Campsite has been established in the beautiful Isle of Purbeck for over 60 years. Tom's Field is open from mid March to end of October.

Eweleaze Farm
The campsite is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, making it quiet and secluded, and safe for children. There are extensive sea views from most parts of the site, and guests have the use of the of the private beach, which forms part of the farm. Open in August only.
